Happy Shack - Inn of the Mountain Gods
Hola, amigos! It’s me, Taco—the Marlin and proud Colorado mascot—reporting from the breathtaking Inn of the Mountain Gods in Ruidoso, New Mexico! I recently got to stretch my fins at the Happy Shack Golf Tournament, and let me tell you, it was a reel good time.
The tournament kicked off with a Shotgun Start, and teams played in a Scramble format, which means lots of teamwork and strategy (I’d be great at that if I had thumbs). We had a mix of manufacturers, clients, and pros hitting the greens, and though I didn’t swing any clubs, I cheered from the sidelines with my signature fin flips and splash of excitement!
The course was absolutely stunning, nestled in the mountain air. Between the laughs, the occasional birdie (not that kind of birdie, but you get the idea), and a little friendly competition, it was clear that this tournament was about more than just golf—it was about connecting with our amazing partners and clients.

And the best part? We weren’t just swinging clubs for fun—we helped raise money for an amazing cause, supporting the Humane Society of El Paso and New Mexico. Nothing feels better than playing a round of golf while giving back to furry friends in need!
The day was packed with fun, and the Scramble format meant everyone had a shot at glory. I’m still convinced my team could’ve used a Marlin as a secret weapon, but I digress.
