VIRTUAL BIKEMS WITH TEAM LIGHTHEARTED
Taco here.
If you're new to the Taco Blog, let me break it down to you land-walkers. I am the namesake of Visual Interest's blog, the VI mascot & resident party animal. I am mounted to the gallery wall, where I watch over the comings & goings of this crazy office - because of that, I like to keep my admirers updated on current events via this blog.
Team Lighthearted pedaled for MS research this weekend by participating in Bike MS Colorado - virturally!
On June 27 & 28, Team Lighthearted pedaled their hearts out, all in a fundraising effort for MS research. Our team of 21 riders brought friends & family, bringing the total amount of riders up to 35! From all over the state & country, they hit mountain bike trails, bike paths, paved & gravel roads, while donning Lighthearted gear. They raised a total of $5,640 & biked a combined total of 1,150 miles! Now, that’s a lot of moola & miles!
They finished their rides & skipped on over to Scott’s, my captor/adoptive father, for a BBQ featuring a pool to relieve sore feet, sammies & libations - socially distanced, of course!
2020 was Team Lighthearted’s 3rd year participating in Bike MS Colorado. Every year the team grows, awareness for Multiple Sclerosis is spread & funds are raised to get us all closer to a world free of MS. Thank you to everyone who rode or donated! Team Lighthearted will be back in 2021!
Check out my training routine for next year!
