πŸ‡ KENTUCKY DERBY - MAY SPARKLAB!

As the Visual Interest SparkLab on May 2nd lit up like a disco ball in a power surge, I, Taco the fish mascot, found myself swimming in a sea of excitement. Picture it: lights, controls, and salespeople zooming around like caffeinated sea turtles in a Mario Kart frenzy. It was like a tech-savvy circus, and I was the main attraction, flipping my fins in delight.

The evening kicked off with the subtlety of a jellyfish sting as attendees marveled at the illuminating innovations in lighting tech. I watched from my fishbowl perch as they discussed the finer points of controls, their faces glowing almost as bright as the LED bulbs they were discussing.

On behalf of the entire Visual Interest team, I extend our sincerest gratitude to each and every one of our esteemed manufacturers for their unwavering dedication and innovative contributions. A-N-D Light, ALW, Axis Lighting, ConTech, Genlyte, H.E.W., iGuzzini, Illumus, Lightheaded, Litetronics, Louis Poulsen, Luceplan, Lucifer, Lumenture, Luminii, Luxxbox, Myers, Matrix Mirrors, Performance in Lighting, Steinel, and TGSβ€”your commitment to excellence and passion for pushing the boundaries of lighting technology have been instrumental in making events like our SparkLab possible. Your products illuminate not only spaces but also minds, sparking inspiration and driving progress in our industry. Here's to continued collaboration and bright futures ahead!

But oh, the highlight of the night was undoubtedly the sales team's Mario Kart showdown. As I flapped my fins in applause (as much as a fish can flap), the room erupted in cheers and laughter. "Bryan Klammer for the win!" they chanted, as if he'd just won the Indy 500 instead of a virtual race. I couldn't help but chuckle to myselfβ€”nothing like a bit of healthy competition to spice up a Thursday.

And let's not forget the pièce de résistance: the open bar. As the libations flowed like a river in flood season, inhibitions vanished faster than plankton in a whale's buffet. Conversations became animated, connections were forged, and ideas flowed as freely as the drinks. It was a beautiful Thursday indeed, and as I watched the festivities unfold, I couldn't help but think: who needs fins when you've got a front-row seat to all the action?!
