AIA El Paso Architecture Design Awards Gala

Ahoy, land-lovers and lighting enthusiasts! It’s your favorite marlin, Taco, here to spill the details on an event so classy, even I had to trade in my usual fins for a metaphorical tuxedo.

On January 31st, Visual Interest proudly sponsored the AIA El Paso Annual Design Awards Gala, where the best and brightest in architecture gathered to celebrate outstanding design, creativity, and innovation. As much as I wanted to crash the party myself (imagine me dodging chandeliers and balancing hors d'oeuvres on my dorsal fin), we had the next best thing—our amazing April Contreras representing our El Paso office!

April attended this prestigious event, mingling with the industry’s top architects and design professionals while showcasing the unwavering commitment Visual Interest has to the architectural community. She was there to celebrate the incredible talent shaping El Paso’s skyline, proving once again that great lighting and great architecture go fin-in-fin.

The night was filled with inspiring projects that push the boundaries of design, blending form and function in ways that make my marlin heart flutter. From modern masterpieces to sustainable marvels, each award-winning project shined brighter than a well-placed LED fixture (and you know we love good lighting).

As a proud sponsor, Visual Interest was thrilled to support an event that not only honors excellence but also fosters collaboration and innovation in our community. Whether it’s designing breathtaking buildings or ensuring they’re beautifully illuminated, we’re here to help architects and designers bring their visions to life.

So, here’s a toast—er, a tail slap—to the winners, the attendees, and of course, April Contreras for making sure Visual Interest had a glowing presence at this spectacular event. Until next time, keep dreaming big and designing even bigger!

Stay bright, stay inspired, and as always—stay lit!
